Nashville fried chicken
Delicious Nashville style fried chicken infused with the flavor of Rebel Bear Acacia.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Total cook time: 25 minutes
Ingredients for 5 servings:
buttermilk marinade:
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
30 dashes of Tabasco
2 tsp coarse salt
1 tsp coarse black pepper
2 lbs breast tenderloins or chicken strips
Breading
1 1/2 cups All purpouse flour
1 cup corn starch
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Sauce
1 cup oil or melted butter
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
Acacia honey: 2 tbsp
1/2 tsp salt
1 serving of Rebellious spirit
Instructions:
Mix all of the ingredients for the marinade together in a bowl. Place about 2 pounds of chicken into the marinade, cover it with plastic wrap, and let the chicken soak in the marinade for atleast 2 hours. 24 preffered.
In a bowl, place all of the ingredients for the breading together and stir to combine. Dip your chicken into the breading, back into the buttermilk marinade, and back into the breading before letting it rest on a cutting board or rack. Repeat for all pieces of chicken.
Bring your oil to about 375 degrees farnehit, and cook each piece of chicken for 5 minutes each, or until internal temperature has reached 165 degrees. let each cooked piece rest on a paper towel while you finish frying every piece.
Take 1 cup of the oil you used for frying the chicken (or melted butter) and mix together all of the ingriedients to make the sauce. Dip each piece of chicken fully into the sauce, and get ready to serve!
