Cranberry Honey pecan pie

Decadent & buttery crust pecan pie with an impression of cranberry Honey.

Preparation time: 60 minutes
Total preparation time: 80 minutes

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • Pecans: 2.5 cups 

  • Granulated sugar: 1 & 1/4 cups 

  • Vanilla sugar: ⅓ cup

  • Butter: 18 Tbsp

  • Flour: 3 & 3/4 cups

  • Eggs: 6

  • Sour cream: 2/3 cup

  • Cranberry flavored honey: 4 Tbsp

Instructions:

For the dough:

In a large mixing bowl, add all of the flour, half of the sugar, half of the vanilla sugar, 4 eggs, the sour cream, and half of the butter melted. Mix thoroughly.

Roll out the dough on a flat surface to about a half  inch thick. Use your baking dish as a guide when rolling out the dough. 

Place it in the baking dish and pre-bake in a preheated oven at 320 °F for 5-6 minutes. 

For the filling:

In a bowl, mix the pecans with the remaining butter, 2 eggs, the remaining sugar, vanilla sugar, and the cranberry honey. Mix until homogeneous.

Pour the filling into the pre baked dough and place into the oven. 

Bake the pie at 320 °F for an additional 40 minutes or until done. Allow it to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Chef's tip:

Toast your pecans for a crunchier filling. Place your pecans on parchment paper and toast them in the oven at 250 °F for 10 minutes.
